An independent publishing house for minds at work.
Thinking Session is devoted to the architecture of thought, cognitive clarity, and deep studies of consequential human deliberation under uncertainty.
Publishing Philosophy
Why Books
Most modern commentary on strategy and leadership is optimized for immediate digital velocity. It reduces complex judgment to checklist aphorisms, airport slogans, and synthetic consensus.
Thinking Session was established on the opposite premise: that consequential thinking requires sustained cognitive clearings. We research, write, and produce physical, collector-grade books designed to be studied, revisited, and annotated over decades.
Each book in our catalogue addresses a specific dimension of sovereign judgment: from the disciplined refusal to build non-essentials, to the conversational clearings where thinking is externalized without borrowed agendas, to the upstream attentional filters that determine what human beings notice and what they miss.
Founder & Editor
About the Editor
Santiago is the founder and editor of Thinking Session. For two decades he has worked inside complex corporate environments, leading engineering and product organizations, designing systems, and examining the cognitive architectures that govern human decision-making when stakes are consequential.
Under his editorial direction, Thinking Session operates as an independent publishing house and editorial laboratory. The inaugural catalogue of monographs was researched and authored by Santiago, establishing the imprint's core inquiries on judgment, attention, and subtraction. As the press expands, Thinking Session is actively developing and commissioning future titles with invited researchers and practitioners.
His editorial research combines primary archival records, engineering filings, cognitive psychology, and qualitative field observations to examine how creators and leaders navigate the boundary between conviction and doubt.
